| On Wednesday evening, firefighters from Purchase, Harrison, Port Chester, Rye, West Harrison, and Valhalla participated in a walkthrough of a newly constructed building within the Purchase Fire District.
Due to the size and complexity of the building, an enhanced response involving multiple fire departments may be required in the event of an emergency. The walkthrough provided firefighters with a valuable opportunity to become familiar with the building’s layout and features, including access points, building systems, utilities, and other critical operational considerations. Pre-incident planning and training like this help our firefighters better understand the buildings in our community and prepare for a coordinated response.
