| On Sunday, May 24th, 2026, at 5:51 PM, the Purchase Fire Department along with Harrison EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 684 northbound, just south of the Manhattanville Road exit.
Upon arrival, units observed a Ford van that had gone over the guardrail and struck a tree, which penetrated the vehicle. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle while EMS evaluated the occupant. The occupant was able to self-extricate and was transported to a local trauma center with injuries.
