The Purchase Fire Department is proud to announce our next initiative that will help our residents when seconds count. Beginning this month, Purchase firefighters will now respond to your home for a medical emergency on the rare occasion that an ambulance has to come from another community. This is to initiate basic care for patients suffering from injury or illness as quickly as possible.

When a neighboring EMS agency is dispatched into Purchase, due to high call volume, there will be a simultaneous dispatch between EMS and the Purchase Fire Department. This will bring our medically qualified personnel to 911 medical calls within the Purchase Fire District.

The Purchase Fire Department is committed to continuously improving the quality of service we provide to our taxpayers. This program will increase survival rates of patients suffering from severe medical emergencies and will get more resources to the scene of anyone who is in medical distress.
