If you are an active interior firefighter in a neighboring department or are in Purchase frequently and looking to go on more calls and get more training & experience, our mutual aid firefighter program may be for you!

Over four years ago the Purchase Fire Department established an on-going mutual aid firefighter program that allows members from other departments in our area to respond to calls with us and train with us.

The Purchase Fire Department responds on average to 550-600 calls of service each year. Purchase is largely a suburban community although our response area is very diverse. We have a mix of residential, commercial properties and three major highways that run through our district. We also cover two full scale college campuses as well as part of the Westchester County Airport. We pride ourselves with staffing our all volunteer fire department 24/7 with a unique live-in program. We have weekly training drills every Wednesday evening from 7pm-9pm.
