| ON THE JOB...
This morning WCPD Airport Pct. Patrol units and our Emergency Service Unit responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Airport Road at the Westchester County Airport.
One of the vehicles involved was heavily damaged with air bag deployment and the occupant required extrication.
ESU Officer Mike Hamborsky, assisted by Detective John Peters, assigned to the Special Operations Division, used the "Jaws of Life" and together with members of the Purchase FD, safely extricated and transferred care of the victim to the Armonk FD EMS volunteers.
The victim sustained head/neck/back and knee injuries and was transported to an area hospital by Armonk FD Fire Rescue in stable condition.
Job well done by all the emergency responders. |
