| July was another busy month for the members of the Purchase Fire Department, responding to a total 87 alarms throughout the month. Year-to-date, the department has responded to 491 calls for service.
Members answered a wide variety of emergencies, including several severe weather events. On July 22nd, Purchase firefighters responded to the impacts of a tornado that touched down in the area, along with other weather-related incidents.
In addition to emergency responses, firefighters attended New York State training courses in Montour Falls, participated in Westchester County training programs, and completed numerous in-house drills to enhance their skills. |
