March Review |
| April 3, 2026 | |
| During the month of March, the Purchase Fire Department responded to a total of 71 incidents, bringing the year-to-date total to 208. Among the more notable responses were two extrication incidents, during which our members assisted our neighbors from the Port Chester Fire Department. Training remained a key focus throughout the month. Eight of our firefighters successfully completed the Fire Officer I course, which began in January and included over 60 hours of instruction. Additionally, firefighters attended the New York State Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) course, reflecting our role as a primary response agency for Westchester County Airport. Our members also participated in numerous additional training opportunities, including in-house drills and the Westchester Weekly Drill Series, further strengthening skills and operational readiness. |
