The Purchase Fire Department responded to 57 calls during the month of May, bringing our yearly total to 277 calls.

Notable Responses:

5 structure-related fire incidents (STRU)
15 motor vehicle accidents with injuries
1 motor vehicle accident with extrication
11 automatic/mutual aid responses to neighboring jurisdictions
13 highway-related emergencies

Training Highlights:
This month’s training focused on critical operational readiness, including:
Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) operations
Vehicle stabilization techniques
First-due engine company operations

The Purchase Fire Department is proud to be Westchester County’s only 100% volunteer fire department offering a Live-In / Bunk-In Program. This unique initiative allows members to live at the station, gain hands-on experience, and develop life-saving skills in a professional, supportive environment.
