At 01:45 Purchase Fire, Port Chester Rescue 40 & Harrison EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with an unconscious party on Interstate 287 at MM 9.0. While enroute, New York State Police confirmed that extrication would be required, and the alarm was redispatched. Car 2411 arrived to find a single vehicle on its side on the right shoulder with 2 parties trapped inside. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and began removing the roof of the vehicle to gain access to the trapped occupants. EMS agencies provided patient care for the injured and transported them to a local hospital. Units returned to service at 03:15 hours.
