A busy night for Purchase & Port Chester Rescues

Last night, at 11:42 PM, the Purchase Fire Department was dispatched to a rollover motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Purchase St & Cottage Ave. While enroute, Harrison Police confirmed entrapment and Rescue 40 from the Port Chester Fire Department was added to the assignment. Units arrived on scene and began stabilization and extrication efforts. Firefighters worked together to remove the roof of the vehicle to gain access to the trapped occupant. The occupant was extricated and transported by Harrison EMS to a local hospital.

Units On-Scene: Purchase Cars 2411, 2412, 2413, Rescue 30, Engines 240, 241, Utility 10, Port Chester Rescue 40, Utility 67, Harrison EMS 61A5, Harrison PD.

A short time later, at 1:33 AM, a verbal was received for an auto-accident at the entrance to SUNY Purchase College. Purchase Fire along with Harrison EMS were dispatched. Units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle on its roof. The occupant was able to self-extricate and was transported to a local hospital by Harrison EMS.

At 02:15 hours, Cars 2411, 2412, 2413, Utility 10 responded to Port Chester for a vehicle that exited the roadway and landed in the river. Units assisted the Port Chester Fire Department along with numerous water rescue/dive assets. During this time, Rescue 30 stood by for any additional calls in the Port Chester Fire District. Units were released just after 6am.
