On Saturday, January 21st, 2023, at 12:19 PM, the Purchase Fire Department along with Harrison EMS were dispatched to Westchester Ave & Kenilworth Rd for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Units arrived to find a two-vehicle accident on the eastbound side of Westchester Ave that required extrication. An additional Rescue Company & ambulance were requested from Port Chester to the scene. Units stabilized the vehicle and removed the driver’s door on one of two vehicles involved. The vehicle was then removed from the guardrail with a grip hoist in preparation for a side removal for additional occupants. The extrication was complete in under 10 minutes and patients were transported to nearby hospitals.
