Earlier this morning, the Purchase Fire Department along with Port Chester Rescue 40 were dispatched to a motor vehicle fire on Interstate 287 in the area of 684. Units arrived on-scene to find the tractor of the trailer & multiple vehicles burning on the car carrier, an additional engine was requested to the scene. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries.
