Multiple Accidents During Morning Commute

On January 5th, 2022, around 5:30 AM, freezing rain began to impact the tri-state area. This made for a treacherous drive for morning commuters. Between the hours of 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM, Purchase Firefighters were dispatched to our 3 major highways for several motor vehicle accidents. Among them included an accident with extrication on Interstate 684, and a home heating fuel truck that rolled over onto Interstate 287.
