On Tuesday, October 8, 2021, at 01:16 AM, the Purchase & West Harrison Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported tractor trailer fire on Interstate 684. Units arrived to find the tractor section of the truck fully involved on the right shoulder. Armonk Tanker 9 was special called to the scene to assist with extinguishment efforts. The fire was extinguished and brought under control in approximately one hour. We would like to thank our Mutual Aid partners for their assistance.
