Serious Motor Vehicle Accident on the Parkway |

On Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, at 10:32 PM, the Purchase Fire Department along with Harrison EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on the Hutchinson River Parkway in the area of Lincoln Ave. As the initial units were arriving on-scene, 60 Control updated of multiple people trapped and ejected from a motor vehicle. Engine 241 arrived first and observed a Jeep well off the roadway and into the woods. Engine 241 confirmed that two critical parties were ejected from the motor vehicle and began to assist Harrison EMS with patient care. Due to the extrication from the wooded area and numerous patients, additional Fire & EMS resources were requested from the Port Chester and West Harrison Fire Departments, Port Chester EMS & Greenwich EMS. With the teamwork and coordination from the units on-scene all parties were removed through the rough terrain and transported to local hospitals.
