On Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 8:07 PM, the Purchase & West Harrison Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire on Interstate 684. Upon arrival, members observed a well-involved four door sedan on the right shoulder. Units stretched and operated two handlines to extinguish a stubborn fire involving its fuel contents.

At 8:34 PM, while units were still operating on Interstate 684, Purchase was dispatched to a commercial building on Manhattanville Road for an activated fire alarm. Engine 238 & Tower Ladder 53 arrived to find the fire alarm sounding with an odor of burning inside the structure. An engine from West Harrison was requested to the scene to assist. Units located the source and the incident was placed under control within 20 minutes.

While Purchase units were operating at both incidents, Engine 62 from the Port Chester Fire Department provided us with district coverage.

On Monday, May 24, 2021 at 3:17 AM, the Purchase Fire Department along with Harrison EMS were dispatched to Interstate 287 in the area of the Hutchinson River Parkway for a motor vehicle accident with extrication and party unresponsive. While enroute, 2411 requested a second rescue from the Port Chester Fire Department be added to the assignment. Units arrived on-scene to find a single vehicle accident with the occupant out on arrival. Units assisted Harrison EMS and remained on-scene for approximately 1 hour until the vehicle was removed by the tow company.
