On the evening of Wednesday January 13th, the Purchase Fire Department took delivery of their 2020 Seagrave Pumper. This pumper will be the first in the departments history to receive the designation of Engine 241.

Engine 241 will serve as our First Due Engine and will also be responsible for responding to all structural related fires in the Town of Harrison. For this reason, we have given Engine 241 the nickname of “Town Wide”.

Our apparatus committee set the goals of designing Engine 241 with tradition and progress in mind.

Some features of Engine 241 Include:

-Marauder 141” Stainless Steel Cab
-Cummins L9 450 HP
- 18” Bumper with an Intake & Discharge
-750 Gallon Water Tank
-Low Hose Bed
-Short Wheel Base
-12V LED Scene Lighting
-Hurst eDraulic Extrication Tools
-Manual Deck Gun
-Exterior hose tray for our standpipe hose folds.
-Custom graphics, tool mounting and radio installation provided by Hudson Valley Fire Equipment.

We would finally like to thank Hudson Valley Fire Equipment, LLC and Seagrave Fire Apparatus for working closely with our committee to bring Engine 241 to our firehouse.

The Purchase Fire Department looks foward to the delivery of our 2021 Seagrave Rearmount Ladder later this year.
