Midday Car Fire on Interstate 287

Earlier today the Purchase Fire Department & West Harrison responded to a reported motor vehicle fire on 287 in the West Harrison Fire District.

Engine Company 240 arrived first due to a working vehicle fire on the right hand shoulder of Interstate 287. Members stretched and operated an 1 3/4 hoseline off of E-240 and the fire was quickly extinguished. The vehicle was overhauled and later removed by tow. There were no injuries.
